One of the most beautiful late Renaissance palaces in Prague was built in two stages between the 1580s and the 1630s by extending and rebuilding an older palace-type house, which was built after 1541 on the site of four Gothic town houses. The interiors feature preserved valuable wall paintings and painted beam ceilings in almost all rooms. A complete renovation aimed at restoring the palace’s Renaissance appearance took place between 1967 and 1973. Many Czech and international films have been shot in the palace, one of the most famous being the TV series The Borgias.
Martinic Palace is suitable for any type of event, from private gala dinners, conferences, and product presentations to vernissages, fashion shows, and birthday parties.
